XXIIIMIMF – Hudson Shad

October 14, 2009

Today I went to the Hudson Shad: Comedians, Cowboys, Crooners, and Classics (USA) show. It was really cute!

Granted, it didn’t have the glamour or the glitz of the orchestra and symphonies and whatnot, but it had a very 60’s/70’s aura to it. It felt like I was sitting in those talent night shows you see in a 60’s American movie (think Chicago or the like). I thoroughly enjoyed the acts, the humours and the songs too!

Program:

Barber of Seville Overture
It Don’t Mean a Thing (If It Ain’t Got That Swing)
Speak Low
Volare
Hello Dolly
Big Spender
Night and Day
As Time Goes By
California Here I Come
St. Louis Blues
New York, New York
Somewhere Over the Rainbow
Etc.

The stint where they shed their coats and tailcoats to show the words on the T-shirts hidden under their shirts, saying in Chinese “Interval~!!!” was hilarious :3

Thoroughly enjoyed the show!

Their website doesn’t seem to be loading on my browser but I’ll post the link all the same.
